The Organizational and Methodical Center for E-Learning Technologies (OMCTET) includes the following laboratories and departments:
  • E-Learning Methodology Laboratory;
  • E-Learning System Laboratory;
  • Administration Department of the E-Learning System;
  • Development Department of E-Learning Content;
  • Online Studio.
The main functions of the Center are:
  • Implementation of e-learning technologies in the educational process in all its forms;
  • Development of regulatory support for e-learning at SumDU;
  • Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements at all stages of e-learning implementation;
  • Analysis of modern methodologies in e-learning technologies, experimentation, and analytical comparisons of new interaction methods between students and teachers;
  • Creation of a software environment for open access to educational and methodological materials of SumDU;
  • Development of methods for the application of new types of e-learning materials;
  • Jointly with the Faculty of Advanced Training and Postgraduate Education, training of educators and academic staff in the use of the e-learning system, technology in multimedia classrooms, and computer labs;
  • Conducting seminars on new methods of creating e-learning content;
  • Monitoring compliance with the requirements for creating e-learning materials;
  • Technical and organizational support for users of the e-learning system;
  • Evaluation of the quality of teachers’ work in the e-learning system;
  • Collaboration with the Center for Technical Support of Information Systems and the Center for Information Systems for software and technical support of e-learning, including:
  • Administration of educational resources within the SumDU e-learning system;
  • Development and software implementation of e-learning content for distance courses;
  • Development of technical means for the functioning of the Online Studio;
  • Administration and support of teachers’ work in the Online Studio;
  • Technical support for online testing of students at remote structural units of SumDU;
  • Coordination of the process of providing software and technical support for the functioning of multimedia classrooms and computer labs.
The Center’s structure includes the following structural units (departments, laboratories, etc.) that are directly subordinate to the Center’s director:
  1. Administration Department of the E-Learning System, responsible for the software and organizational support of the functioning of the e-learning system.
  2. E-Learning Methodology Laboratory, responsible for the development and implementation of methodologies for creating e-learning content, searching and implementing e-learning technologies in the educational process, and monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Development Department of E-Learning Content, responsible for creating e-learning content, searching, analyzing, and implementing new technologies for creating educational objects.
  4. Online Studio, responsible for ensuring the work of academic staff in the Online Studio, developing technical means for the functioning of the Online Studio.
  5. E-Learning System Laboratory, responsible for the development and administration of the e-learning resources ecosystem at the university, supporting the technological cycle of developing software products for educational purposes, supporting and expanding the distance learning platform (http://dl.sumdu.edu.ua/), an open electronic resource of structured collections of educational and methodological materials of disciplines (http://ocw.sumdu.edu.ua), the Lectur`ED educational materials constructor (http://elearning.sumdu.edu.ua/), a platform for open online courses (http://examenarium.sumdu.edu.ua/), a platform for blended learning, an automated testing system, as well as conducting educational and advisory work on the development, implementation, and use of information systems to support the educational process.

The Salamstein eLearning platform is an automated system that provides a comprehensive solution for organizing distance learning by integrating learning material and learning process management subsystems with a virtual learning environment.

Mix - Blended learning

The MiX blended learning platform is an automated system that allows students to register and enroll in available academic courses on their own. It can be used by teachers for full-time and part-time students.

Examiner - a platform for open online courses

The platform of open online courses “Examinarium” is an automated system that provides self-registration of users and self-enrollment in available courses or programs. It is used to support students of non-academic programs and courses.

This is an open electronic resource of structured collections of educational and methodological materials of disciplines.

Lectur`ED

The Lectur`ED educational materials designer allows you to: create/edit projects with teaching and learning materials; import teaching and learning materials published on the OCW of Sumy State University and placed in the Sumy State University distance learning system.
